Simplified exports from Production Manager
We added an option in the export configuration to use the export function directly from the Project Manager selection window.
Release highlights
The version 2026 of Steel Projects PLM is now available! This major release introduces many features that will help make your daily work easier and improve your user experience! document is a list of all the latest features added to the release. Please note that they are available if the corresponding licenses have been acquired in the first place.
We added an option in the export configuration to use the export function directly from the Project Manager selection window.
We added additional checks and propagation rules when standard projects are modified.
We added an option in Project Manager to control whether scribing is assigned before or after assembly.
We replaced the blocking message with a warning message and confirmation to proceed with the change.
We added a checkbox in the copy form to specify whether the linked products should also be copied.
Drawing copy: if the product option is checked, we will copy the products linked to the drawing and the assemblies\pieces.
Project copy: if the product option is checked, we will copy only the products that are directly linked to the project.
We improved the rules used to change the status of the fabjob.
The goal is to plan projects, drawings, production phases, or jobs over the coming weeks. Each week, the workload is defined for each tracking type corresponding to the main production stages. The items to be scheduled are listed by priority. Each week is constrained by the available resources. The user fills the production weeks, for each tracking type, with guided assistance and alerts.
This module allows you to allocate and organize the parts to be produced across workstations for a week or a day. We have integrated real-time interactions with scheduling and all production data:
Operators using Workshop Assistant will be able to view the day’s priorities and track them.
We have added conditions to workstations to determine whether an assembly category is accepted.
The assembly category is defined in Project Manager based on various configurable characteristics: dimensions, number of secondary parts, weights, and profile types.
This option determines the choice of possible paths when sending to production. It is useful for automatically assigning the process to a manual welding station or a welding robot.
In a web browser, we can display three specific views:
This new feature is available with the Production Manager license and perfectly complements scheduling module. A new shortcut is available on the main menu next to Planning and Scheduling.
We have added data to our standard PNI format (manual exchange via files or automatic exchange via API), which enables integration with external software.
Added exchangeable information:
Addition of entry points to our WebAPI for even smoother data exchange:
We added a new import that allows the feedback process to read a PSR format for any machine\workstation who deliver this standard format.
We added a dedicated import with a specific interface. This XML import retrieves the project structure and links it with the DSTV files. This import is protected by the DSTV import license.
We added support for reading “wire” entities as scribing.
SP macros in Tekla and the Tekla links in SP are compatible with version 2026.
CAM3D export in Tekla and Tekla import 1.26.xxxx import in SP will replace the TEKLA XML macro. For now, it is important to test and compare results before completely abandoning the XML format. Files exported are named *.tsm for Teka Structure Model (*.tsd = Tekla Structure Data).
We added columns to the current view to show the material ID and the operator.
We added a parameter for the technologies accepted by a machine. When building bars, we compare them with the technologies required by the parts. If they do not match, we display a warning message on the bar.
We integrated AlmaCam 4.1 SP2 into our solution.
We added an icon that lets users track the connection progress with AlmaCam.
Button status and action:
We added tables in the machine resources to assign a different cutting tool based on the requested speed. This speed is linked to the perimeter or the area of the internal contour. The post-processor generates the instructions according to the selected tool and informs the machine. From the part drafter, it is possible to check and even change the cutting tool manually.
We integrated this technology choice across all production steps (parameters, selection, post-processor).
We added a new option to manage bar scrap options. Forecast scraps can be used as an “option” by bar nesting and become “stock” when the parent bar is produced.
This option is only available with our stock integrated and uses the same logic as for plate nesting.
We added a new global option to define how supplies are managed.
We have the following options:
We added stock configuration data to define the list of profiles to monitor, with minimum and maximum values.
In the stock list, we can visualize threshold issues with color codes.
We added a screen to visualize a 4 weeks stock projection.
We added a general parameter to choose the pattern and import additional stock. Imported stock is visible but locked by default. If needed, it can be unlocked and used. Stock from other companies is informational only and cannot be used.
We added a general parameter to choose the pattern. If the workflow is manual, the user must validate the issues through a dedicated screen.
We added a hidden parameter that enables access to the Web Stock mode. The launch will be integrated into SP screens. The user will also be able to open it in an external browser.
We collect machine energy consumption information from Ficep machines.
We display a specific “bundle” icon (packet), its unique number, and its composition. This option is only available in the Windows version.
SP is compatible with SQL Server 2025. The compatibility minimum is now SQL Server 2016 and higher. During the upgrade, we will also display a warning message.
