Autodesk’s Advance Steel is a 3D detailing software built on the familiar AutoCAD platform and designed specifically for steel detailers and fabricators. Advance Steel and Steel Projects have together developed and tested an advanced IFC export specifically designed for steel fabrication which enables intelligent data to be shared with Steel Projects PLM. In addition, Autodesk and Steel Projects are also working toward sharing production progress using the industry standard .psr format.
Microsoft is an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics and personal computers and services. All Steel Projects PLM software modules are developed on a Microsoft operating platform, including mobile applications such as production feedback and shipping.
Design Data’s SDS2 is a 3D detailing software designed specifically for steel detailers and fabricators. SDS2 can also automatically design connections inside the 3D model. SDS2 has developed specific export links for sharing data with Steel Projects PLM and are also working together to develop and test an advanced IFC export specifically designed for steel fabrication which enables intelligent data to be shared with Steel Projects PLM.

Steel Projects has developed an advanced application that sits inside Tekla to extract intelligent model data that can be used extremely effectively in Steel Projects PLM for managing steel fabrication. The application extracts and manages data for all model components, assemblies and sequences including welding, scribing and products such as bolts.
